Controlling her environment
Part of controlling her is controlling her environment. This is the next step up from telling her she is not allowed to do or have something and in stead making it impossible for her to do or have. However in this case it is not made impossible by restraining her but by adapting the world around her.
A good example is the difference between telling her she is not allowed to eat the chocolate and making it impossible for her to eat it. However in this case it is not made impossible by physically preventing her from eating but by locking away the chocolate in some way.
Depending on the relationship dynamic and her personality this can be about control but also about taking away temptation to protect her against herself.
